Outside of Dhulikhel, we went up a winding, narrow gravel road on the mountain-side and found the High View Hotel. It was up about 400 steps from the road and it was a true resort.

There was only one other couple staying at the Resort, so we were able to negotiate a very reasonable rate for the evening. As usual, around 7:00p.m., the hydro went out and we went to dinner in the dining room by candlelight. The entire dining room was lit with candles. The meal was delicious. The waiter was concerned that we might not have order enough and be hungry and he kept re-filling our plates. Not to be rude, we were very full from the meal.
walking near our hotel
The way back to our room was somewhat slow, given the lack of moonlight, but it was beautiful overlooking the valley and the various lights and hearing the various sounds.
