Lumbini Buddhist Circuit

After spending the afternoon in a rickshaw touring the Lumbini Buddhist Circuit, we headed back to our Hotel and decided to have supper at the Hotel next door.

It is amazing the service that you can receive in some of the hotels. In this particular Dining Room Hotel there was a waiter, who took our order and a waiter who served our food and another waiter that came back with our bill. We were the only two people in this very fancy Dining Room. They were very lovely. They turned on the lights and the fans for us while we ate our food.

After spending the night in the Hotel, we had our 'included breakfast and headed back to Pokhara by car. Today, April 14th was the Nepali New Year 2069. Driving through the mountain-side villages the people were dressed in their finery for the special occasion. There was much bustle and activity as everyone was celebrating, i.e., much more foot travel on the mountain roads, women wearing their colourful saris.
